Need Prayers For Our First Marriage Counseling Session

This upcoming week is very important to me. It has been something I have been praying about for months and the Lord has listened. This week my husband and I will attend our first marriage counseling session with a christian marriage counselor. Please pray that all goes well and that it will be a positive and meaningful expirence for my husband and I. Also, please pray for the marriage counselor that we will be seeing. I hope this is the next step to getting my husband back home soon. I love and miss him very much. Thank you for your prayers.

A wife in need

~~~~~Good News!~~~~~

My husband has been home for almost 2 months now and our daughter was also born a couple of weeks ago. It has been a stressfull time in our marriage but the Lord is with us always. We have good days and we have bad days but we are relying on the Grace of God to help us through it. I love my husband very much. Also, I'm so thankful the Lord blessed us with a wonderful and healthly baby girl. I love her so much already and can't even remember what my life was like without her. Thank you to all that have keep me, my husband, and my family in my prayers. You all are in my prayers. God Bless You All!!

Dear God,

I pray that you cause these dear ones to remember the vows they made on wedding day. Cause them to see marriage is not about happiness, or other such things, but about making and keeping comittments and having the responsibility to take responsibility to care for the other, and their soul.

For better not bad but worse, and the word which follows worse is death, for rich or poor, for sickness and health, till death.

Marriage is not about happiness, this is selfishness, when a spouse claims they are not happy, and it is evil when a spouse leaves another, because they are not happy.

It is evil when a spouse manipulates another, with seperation, because they are not happy.

The wedding vows do not speak of happiness, yet they speak of good times and worse times, not bad times.

Worse is always worse than bad.

Marriage is not about keeping a record of wrongs against the other, it is about FORGIVENESS.

It is not about believing a spouse when they ask for forgiveness, it is about giving forgiveness as Christ has forgiven you.

If a spouse lies to the other, and the other claims they do not believe the one, then is it also said that God will not believe them also, when they confess their sins, and ask for forgiveness.

When people say they had to leave a bad marriage, they are really saying, they were not happy.

People so often marry for selfish reasons, make unselfish vows, and then when their selfishness arises, they retreat from the vows.

Oh God, reveal to these dear precious folks that you brought your love to the world by first comittment, then taking responsibility for their sins, by sending your dear Son to do the most of all acts, sacrificing His life, and you called this LOVE.

Love is not happiness, LOVE is keeping comittments and taking responsibility for others long term well being.

Husbands and wives do not deserve happiness, for no one can gurantee such a thing in this life, however hhusbands and wives deserve LOVE, God's love, and God's way of love.

There is no verse in all the bible which states, a Husband or wife, must make the other happy.

Proverbs 31 is the rule book for a virtous wife, and the rest of the bible is a rule book for the husband!!!

God, it is time for us to wake up, and see your ways.

May God bless each of these people, and may they see your Son and Follow Him..

My dear brother, show your wife your love by being a Godly husband, stop trying to make her happy, do not be manipulated, and start being a man of God..

Look to see what Christ did in being a husband for His bride in His word..

Please be with this couple when they see this counsler. Please bring the counsler the information that needs to be heard, and a solution that works in everybodies favor. Please just be with them not only on this day in spefic but everyday. Amen.

A wife in need

Update: PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!! FOR HE IS GOOD!!!!! My husband is coming home. We have a long road ahead of us but the Lord is our Guide. Thank you for all of your prayers for my husband, my baby, and myself. I will continue to pray for all of you.

Whooo I have been here too lord. I pray that you would open both of their hearts. That you would remove any selfishness or need to defend themselves. Remove any walls that have been built. I pray that both of their ears would be open to hear what the other is saying and what the counselor is saying to them too. I pray for healing and the ability to ask and except forgiveness. Colossians 3:13-15 says, "Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful."

Help them to first to grow closer to you, Lord because the closer they are to you the closer they are to each other. Amen!

Update: Praise the Lord!!! Things went very well today during our session. Lots of progress was made. The Lord is listening and I know he understood I was having a hard time here lately. He gives me strength and has lifted me up. He is working on my husband's heart and helping him see what is important. Thank you Lord and thank you to all that have prayed for me. I will keep all of you in my prayers

A wife in need

Update: Today is our second session. I am continuing to pray everyday. Please continue to pray for me. Things have been a little tough lately and dealing with my pregnancy on top of everything has left me spirtually, physically, emotionally, and mentally tired. I am praying for strength and guidance for myself and my husband. This has been hard on both of us. Thank you for your prayers.
