Back to US Soldiers in Iraq & Afganistan
My friend has requested that his nephew, Lee Mathias, be put on a prayer list. He was wounded in Iraq yesterday. They don't many details, but they do know that he has severe head injuries.
Dear Lord,
My cousin is coming home for Christmas in Dec. on leave from the Army. In Feb. he goes to Afghan. Please stay beside him and all other soldiers. Provide them with the strength and will power everyday they are there. Our Prayers are with every soldier! Thank you Lord and GOD Bless our soldiers.

Heavenly Father - We ask a special blessing and protection for each one of our soldiers willing to put their lives on the line for the freedom and protection of others. We thank You for each of these soldiers and especially pray for the salvation of those who do not know You as their Savior and are in harms way. We pray for those in leadership positions making the decisions regarding this war, especially for our President. Please guide their thoughts and decisions. We pray You will end this war soon but You will keep us ever mindful of the lives that had to be given in not only this war but in past wars that we may have the freedoms we enjoy in the United States and the fact that this country was founded based on Christian beliefs. Let us not forget the families of those who have given their lives in this war, be with them and give them Your peace which passes all understaning. Bless each one who comes to you in prayer and hear our prayers, O Lord, Creator of All the Universe and those who dwell therein.
We ask these things in the Name of Your Son and our Saviour, Jesus Christ
Gracious Father in heaven!
We thank You for Your continuing protection of – and fellowship with – the Christian soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well their comrades in arms and friends.
Please let Your Holy Spirit remind us to pray continuously for them; even as the church prayed continuously for the Apostle Peter when he was imprisoned for 7 days by Herod who was determined to kill him after having killed his fellow apostle James. You rescued Peter by the hand of Your angel in answer to the prayers. Prayer is our field of battle, even as the soldiers are in harm’s way by bullets and bombs, treachery and terror.
We have to pray continuously and fervently so that we may get to know You more intimately – that You are our Living God, with awesome power, amazing, unsearchable wisdom and infinite love; that You are rewarder of those who diligently seek You. [Hebrews 11:6]
I would like to share with all praying for their loved ones or any who lost a loved one this inspirational message: http://wandascountryhome.com/thehonored/

Our Heavenly Father, our Rock and Mighty Fortress!
As in the days of old, even so are You now and forever. “Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.”
We pray for Your Salvation, protection, healing, and blessing for the police, firefighters, guards, and soldiers who serve and protect Your people, here and overseas. We pray for wisdom and integrity for the leaders, parents and pastors You have appointed over us to guide our ways. We pray most earnestly for the military and civilians of Your people or kindred of Your people in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Middle East; please grant them life, safety and health, let them return in joy to their loved ones.
“When Your people go out to battle against their enemies, wherever You send them, and when they pray to You toward this city which You have chosen and the temple which I have built for Your name, then hear from heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.” [2 Chronicles 6:34-35]
“In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the Angel of His Presence saved them; In His love and in His pity He redeemed them; And He bore them and carried them -- All the days of old.” [Isaiah 63:9]
We thank You for the Day of Prayer and all Your tender mercies!
In the name of our Savior and King, Jesus Christ, AMEN.
Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
